In memory of Jackie Evans

Jackie was a big part of Big Worle and played an instrumental role in taking the project forward and managing its legacy work. She had a huge presence in the communities of Worle and Weston-super-Mare and was widely known for her passion, dedication, and hands-on approach to everything she did. Jackie was loved and respected across all the communities she touched. She will be greatly missed by everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. This is why we have dedicated this plaque in her honour — as a lasting tribute to everything she gave to our community.

In memory of Ann Hughes

Ann was a valued member of the Big Worle Steering Group and had been involved with the project since its very beginning in 2014. She was a larger-than-life character who took great pride in her volunteer role, always bringing energy and passion to everything she did. Ann played a key role in our community consultations, helping shape the direction of several legacy projects that continue to benefit the area today. She will be deeply missed, and her presence will be felt across both our community and Big Worle for years to come.
